Fresno Community Science Workshop Opens Doors at New Location

The Fresno Community Science Workshop Program began in 1995 in a small room at Dickey Park, and later moved to Granny’s Neighborhood Park, where it played a key role in the redevelopment of the local community and housing project. This fall after nearly a decade, the program will be making a new home at Highway City Park, in a previously unused large building in the middle of the neighborhood park.

To help with the move and set-up of the new, larger space, the CSW Network arranged for staff from Watsonville, Greenfield and Sanger Community Science Workshops to spend a Sunday creating and building new floor exhibits to be housed at the workshop. Staff from different workshops got a chance to work in teams together and share knowledge, building skills and exhibit designs.
